What am I doing?

Good question.

I am currently bound by mortal flesh, and made a deal with the cosmos. If I produce enough creativity, it will allow me to ascend this mortal plain. That is my goal. Maybe you will enjoy my art and writing in the meantime.

Tranguis is a name I created randomly one day. I combined the words Trans and Sanguis. Trans for transgender and sanguis for its relation to vampires; immortal cursed beings, trapped in a way. To me, it explains what it is like to be transgender in 2023:

Trapped, hunted and seen as monsters for the sole crime of existing.

(Yes vampires do suck blood — it’s not a perfect analogy but shhh finding a name is hard)

The rights of Trans and lgbtqia+ people are under attack once again — they’ve always been under attack, duh, but recently the bigots have upped their game, sadly. I want to do something about that, though feel powerless in this current system and arguably am, we all are victims of capitalism.

It’s not much, but with my art and writing, I hope to bring awareness to these issues and stand up against the system.
